Joseph Romeo serves as moderator of the Rotor Windings forum.

Mr. Romeo has been working in the Power Generation Industry for 43 years. Upon graduating with a degree in mechanical engineering, he joined General Electric in Schenectady, NY in 1967.

During his 24 years with GE, he held various positions in Turbine Engineering, Generator Engineering, Marketing, Apparatus Services Business Division, and Field Service, winning a number of company awards for excellence quality, service and management. The expertise he gained in all aspects of generator installation, maintenance and repair was incorporated in the numerous procedures for the rebuild of GE generators, which he was responsible for developing.

Leaving GE in 1991, he become Manager of Generator Rebuild and Manufacturing for Aesa Brown Boveri (ABB), in Richmond, VA and later joined Mechanical Dynamics and Analysis (MDA), until he retired in 1997. After a brief retirement he returned to the industry as an independent consultant working in roles ranging from various aspects of project management to maintenance and specifications development and failure analysis.
